The Advisory Council operates under a public charter that guarantees independence from any single government, corporation or investor. Members are appointed by consensus of the sitting council, with staggered terms to preserve continuity.
Independence Guarantee
No member may hold majority financial interest in an AI vendor under ALGIA assessment. No government holds veto over council composition.
Interdisciplinary Balance
No single domain — public sector, academia, private sector, civil society — may hold more than 40% of council seats.
Public Accountability
Council deliberations on standards and certification are published. Only sensitive institutional engagements operate under Chatham House protocol.
